This notice covers the RAKAB pre-launch website (rakab.ae): the waitlist forms, the confirmation and launch emails, and the guides. A full privacy policy will be published before the marketplace opens. We process personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
Who we are
During the pre-launch phase RAKAB is operated by Ridecore Works AB. Contact: hello@rakab.ae.
What we collect
- "I'm looking for a vehicle" form: your email address, and if you choose to give them, your emirate and what you are looking for.
- "I'm a dealer" form: company name, contact name, email address, WhatsApp number, emirate, the vehicle categories you sell and the approximate number of vehicles in stock.
- For both forms: the language you used, the time you gave consent, where you came from (source and campaign parameters in the link), your browser's user agent, and a one-way hash of your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.
- We do not ask for Emirates ID numbers.
Why we use it
- To tell you when RAKAB opens and to send launch updates you asked for.
- To contact dealers about the launch offer.
- To protect the forms from abuse (rate limiting and bot protection).
The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who processes it
- Supabase – database. Data is stored in the AWS Mumbai (India) region.
- Resend – sending the confirmation and launch emails and keeping the launch mailing list.
- Cloudflare – hosting, Turnstile bot protection on the forms and cookieless traffic statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
Cookies
The public pages of this website set no cookies. The language is part of the web address (/ar for Arabic). Only if you sign in do we use a session cookie and preference cookies such as your language. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe we stop all emails immediately; write to hello@rakab.ae if you also want your details deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent. Write to hello@rakab.ae and we will answer within 30 days. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
